"Multifractal processes"

Ime az eloadas abstractja:

Multifractal analysis has a strong tradition in the theories of
dynamical systems and fully developed turbulence, most notably in the
study of local scaling properties of strange attractors. Subsequently,
research in the field has been concerned mostly with singular
distributions such as self-similar cascades or measures. The desire to
make the approach a useful tool for general processes created the need
to broaden both, the known `multifractal formalism' to include more
sophisticated tools such as wavelets, as well as the pool of models to
bridge the gap between cascading measures and stochastic processes.
In this talk we develop a simple `multifractal formalism' which is
always valid and present some novel, stationary multifractals.
