Dear CHEM-HISTers,

one of our departments is about to throw away a number of (mostly)
chemical
journals. Institutions or individuals in a position to take them should
send me
a note of intend. The receiver will get them for free but will be
exptected to
cover the costs for freight / postage. Except for Nature all vols. are
in
library bindings and perfect condition. The following list is based on a
very
cursory suvey with no guarantee as to completeness :

Chemistry in Britain, vols. 8 (1972) – 32 (1996)
Journal of Polymer Science, ca. 1954-1966
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 1918 – 1966
Journal of the Chemical Society (London), 1857 – 90 (1921)
Kolloid-Zeitschrift vols. 7 (1910)-53 (1930), incl. Beihefte, ca.
1912-1921
Die Makromolekulare Chemie vols. 10 (1913) – 110 (1960’s)
Nature, vols. 27 (1883) – ca. 1935 (loose, unbound issues)
Proceedings of the Royal Society (London), vols. 9 (1857) – 90 (1921)
Zeitschrift får Elektrochemie, ca. 1930 – 1956

furthermore:

Reichspatente auf dem Gebiet der Organischen Chemie, 1939–1945, 8
heavy vols.

If you are interested, please specify your interest and I will check for
the
exact vols. and years.
But, please, be prepared to bear the expenses for postage.

Kind regards,
Christoph Meinel
