Kedves Kollégák!

Nyáron az Argonne National Laboratory-ban találkoztam Jellinek Gyulával, aki
szeretné felvenni a kapcsolatot magyar kollégákkal klaszter kutatás
témakörben.
Szivesen bonyolítana idösebb kutatóval rövid kölcsönös látogatásokat,
illetve szivesen fogadna fiatalabb kutatót posztdoc-nak.

Alább küldöm az álláshirdetését és az elérhetöségét.

Üdvözlettel,

Turányi Tamás

POSTDOCTORAL OR VISITING SCHOLAR POSITION AT ARGONNE
IN THE AREA OF THEORETICAL/COMPUTATIONAL STUDIES
OF CLUSTERS AND CLUSTER-BASED NANOASSEMBLY

A postdoctoral or visiting scholar position is available immediately at the
Chemistry Division of the Argonne National Laboratory in the area of
theoretical and computational studies of atomic clusters and cluster-based
nanoassembly. The studies cover a broad range of physical and chemical
properties of clusters and nanoparticles, including their interactions with
each other and different molecules and substrates. Our
theoretical/computational research is closely coupled with related
experimental studies at Argonne and elsewhere. The work involves conceptual
and methodological developments relevant for the finite size regime, code
development, and large-scale computer simulations. Excellent computational
resources are available. Highly motivated and creative candidates with a
drive to excel are encouraged to apply. Relevant background
includes quantum chemistry, theoretical chemistry, statistical mechanics,
solid state
physics, classical and quantum dynamics, and related areas. Argonne offers
excellent
compensation and benefits. The appointment is initially for one year with
possible
extension for up to two more years. Interested candidates should forward
their CV and list of publications, and arrange for three reference letters,
all sent to
