Description             Within the research group of Dr J Xiao, you will
work 
on a project focusing on the development of novel ligands, catalysts 
and reaction media for promoting desired regioselective Heck 
arylation of olefins.  You should have a PhD in chemistry and

position in the Department of Pharmacy to start in February 2004. 
Research funding is through the BBSRC and you will be working with

clean-up, trace analyte pre-concentration, separation and detection.

research units in Southeast Asia and Africa may be required.
