 "Structural stability and instability of scattering cross sections"

We discuss the behavior of differential cross sections under perturbations 
of the system. In particular, we consider the case of approaching a case 
with a symmetry and a corresponding conserved quantity. The main result is 
that elastic scattering is stable whereas inelastic scattering is unstable 
in this case.
